Tonearm scratches

Hello All,

Are scratches on tonearms normal from the cartridge mounting hardware. I see scratches on my RB 250 after I mounted the Denon DL 160, from the mounting screws. Can they be covered up? Or best just left that way. Just an eye-sore?
