Tim Ryan, BSC Electronic Systems Customer Service Issues?


Hi All-Anyone have delivery communication issues with Tim Ryan?

In May, I purchased an Audiogon advertised trade-in DSPeaker and after paying was told none were in stock. Over 8 emails I was assured I would receive a new one.

To date, 2 months I have gotten zilch. Now, Tim isn't returning emails or phone calls.

@wharfy....your post couldn’t have come at a more interesting time.  I’m currently in a claim process on PayPal with this guy as he sent me a subwoofer that was damaged due to his negligent packaging.  He has refused to refund me my payment and of late hasn’t responded to my emails.  In the beginning he emailed constantly with some bs excuses.  Kept putting me off so I initiated a dispute which is now a claim against him.  This guy is bad news..at least imo.

Small world indeed.  Hope you get a resolution with this idiot sooner than later.  Sounds as though he still has your money?

Carmenc-I am also in claim process with paypal. Your experience mirrors mine.

The thing that’s really burning me up is that Ryan continues to advertise on audiogon that he is selling restocked DSPeakers, when he doesn’t have them. He says he has the DSPeaker, takes your money, and then says he doesn’t have one and will send you a new one.

Like your experience he tells you total bs, and then, he disappears.
@wharfy ....feel for you.  Let’s hope PayPal comes through for us.  This guy should be banned from here.  Why he’s still advertising is beyond me.  I’ll contact the powers to be here and see if we can’t remedy that.  Keep me posted and I’ll do likewise.  Best.
Same with me! I purchased an X4 from Tim Ryan in January and never received it. His email kept telling me that he would ship soon but never did. Now I have lost communication with him, as he will not answer my email. I tried to dispute with PayPal but they told me there is nothing they can do and to work directly with the seller.
I sent an email to DSPeaker and was told they would, "try to poke Tim Ryan". Now they will not answer my emails either!
@seasoned ...why hasn’t PayPal stepped forward to help?  I have emails to his associates.  We should privately message one another.  Best....
Carmenc-Yes, yes and yes. Ryan is advertising a product he doesn't stock. I learned a lot from this experience. The biggest being do my research first. An internet search shows many people have had similar issues.

@seasoned @wharfy ...received my refund today from this outfit.  Certainly hope you two fare as well.  Understand he has been suspended from here!  That’s great news.  Good luck and keep me posted if you’d like.

Looks like my Tim Ryan saga is coming to an end. I received my refund. I hope @seasoned and anyone else who did not have smooth transactions with Tim gets satisfaction.

It's worth noting that Tammy, here at Audiogon deserves a big shout out!!! Thank you for all your help and advice.

@wharfy ....Congrats!  ......and not a moment too soon I might add regarding the saga of the scam artist aka “ceol”.  Agree 100% that Tammy is the epitome of excellent customer service.

I purchase the DSPeaker Anti-Mode 2.0 Dual Core Sale-Room Correction w/preamp and DAC- In stock (note it says in stock) in May '18.  I got the run around and he said he was in Europe and would return to ship me a NEW 2.0 Dual Core.  It took a month, but I got my money back from PayPal, thank lord!  I will now goto Wally at Underworld to get the DSP, glad this mess is all over!
