Perhaps someone can help me access these new Master recordings on Tidal. I am a Hifi member of Tidal and use Roon. These new Master recordings do not show up in my What’s New area under albums? I use Roon and a windows 10 computer/server. It is a dedicated music computer - music Vault Ultra ll from Sound Science. I have never had an issue with Roon and access all of Tidal flawlessly until this issue? Ideas? Love to play some of these recordings.

Thanks all. I am a little lacking in computer knowledge so here goes my follow up question. I do have a desktop computer and assumed I was using the Tidal desktop app already with Roon.

Is Roon loading Tidal as a web based app and not desktop, thus my inability to see the new Master recordings? If I download the Tidal desktop app, then I assume I cannot use it in Roon? Am I thinking correctly? Sorry for my ignorance. My Music Vault computer came loaded with Roon and Tidal so I am not sure how they work together on my Windows 10 based Music Vault computer.
Ok does anyone here use Roon with the desktop Tidal app to play these new MQA files? I cannot? If so, how did you do it. Thanks all.

Ok I figured out how to use Roon and play these MQA files. To see the files you need the Tidal Desktop app. As I an have an account, I download it to my PC.
Then I  logged in, went to What's New, scroll down to Albums, look across to Masters.
There is a long list to get you going. Add albums to your favourite and they will show up in Roon.

The files sound much better using the Tidal desktop however. Through Roon 48k was all I could get. On the desktop I can get 96k and up to 192k.

The sound on older recordings is about about the same as a standard ripped cd and not as good as DSD on the desktop app and with a dac that does not do MQA. Newer, better recordings sound slightly better than ripped cds, but still not as good as DSD.

To to my ears many of the classic rock MQA recordings on Tidal sound rather poor still. In the end I am not that impressed. I will keep playing and tweaking however.
The sound may be a tad bit better without a MQA dac, but not that much better. Bass is more pronounced in a good way with more foundation to the music. Seems a tad more layered in staging, but subtle at best really.
Erik, that has also been my experience. I really don't hear anything that exciting and prefer DSD for sure.
