Thoughts on the aragon palladium 1k

I am really struggling to dig up any info on these old amps. They seem like a decent build but reviews are nonexistent and true spec sheets are also sketchy at best. Should I just steer clear or is this a solidly built amp from an older era?

The Palladium 1K is identical electrically to the Palladium 2. I owned a pair of the Palladium 2 and they are a very good sounding, power house amplifier. They were the full mono version of the 8008 BB, and a better sounding amp, IMO. There is a pair of 1k currently for sale, but they are WAY overpriced. The seller states list price of $10,000 when in actuality they were listed at $6,000. I would not pay more than about 40 percent of the original MSRP to include shipping. At 40% they would need to be pristine.
The Palladium 2 was 400 watts into 8 ohms with the first 125 watts biased into Class A. 600 watts into 4 ohms, and more than 1000 watts into 2 ohms. Aragon recommended a separate 20 amp circuit for each amp if one wanted to test the power limits of these amps. Enough clean power to drive any speaker out there.
Make sure bought from reputable shop/people.   Have them sent to be looked at, replace caps, wiring, etc etc.

 they are amazing amps!
