The Best of Chandos?

From my limited experience it appears that we should all be able to agree that Chandos is an excellent recording label. I have two SACDs so far and have interest in owning more. Here's what I have so far:

(1) Neeme Jarvie conducts Saint-Saens

(2) Carl Orff Carmina Burana

I have been listening to these in DSD Multi and the realism in the recordings is simply fantastic. They are easily two of my absolute best quality recordings. Very dynamic and live feeling.

What do you consider to be the best of Chandos?

Good question!

I enjoy This One, but no idea how it ranks compared to many others.

I would recommend Grechaninov's Passion Week. This Chandos SACD is fantastic, both for sound and for somewhat obscure material that is flat out gorgeous and deserves a wider audience.

The music is for a large chorus without any instrumental accompaniment. It is somewhat like Rachmaninov's Vespers, but, I actually listen to it more than I do any recording of the Vespers that I own.

I agree with you on Chandos. Will have to look up some of mine, but I know they are excellent..

Another Chandos SACD I really like is a collection of choral works by Mantyjarvi, Martin, Clausen and Tichelli called "Eternal Rest."

Seems to be a "choral" theme running through the Chandos recommendations so far.

I would say look for music that interests you and buy that. I have not run across a Chandos recording that was bad sounding--this is one of the most consistently well recorded label out there.
