The Audio Doctor makes a house call

I would like to contribute  to the discussion about Dave, the “Audio Doctor.”   I live in California but, after many phone conversations and texts where he provided advice about my system with no promise of any return, we decided a trip here from New Jersey would be worthwhile and worked out an arrangement.  Dave brought a lot of accessories for me to audition. First, we repositioned my speakers (KEF Reference 5s), which really improved the sound.  We tried a DAC (Aqua) to compare with my current Auralic Vega (first generation), wireworld interconnects and several other things.  I already had purchased an Innuous Zenith server from Dave and we set that up.  Dave was very enthusiastic about my speakers (which he sells but I already had purchased elsewhere) and my electronics (Audio Research amp, pre amp, phono stage) and never suggested buying new ones.

At no point did I feel he was pressuring me or trying to sell me something just to make a sale.  My system is definitely sounding better now and I may move ahead with some other improvements he recommended. Of course, Dave is in the audio business and makes his livelihood that way but I think he was genuinely interested in helping me get better sound.  I know that some have objected to him and other dealers posting on this board.  Personally, I have found  his postings very helpful.  Those who don’t can always skip over them—no one is forcing you to read anything.

Finally, I met Dave for the first time when he came here and have no connection other than as a recent customer.

He has also used numerous monikers, including Audiooracle (check it out folks), promoting brands without disclosing his dealer status.

That unethical behavior speaks volumes to character.

Chew on that Lalin.
First of all, my business closed in 2014. You aren’t very bright though.
Second, no denials from you.
Third, keep chewing chubby.
Interesting how Lalin confuses attacks and facts.

However, whatever you say means little audiooracle or audiotroy or audiounethical or audioblowhard, or whatever moniker is convenient today.

I encourage readers to review your “audiooracle" posting history. The other monikers you used escape me at the moment.

Actually stereo5 never mentioned any displeasure with the transaction between us 4+ years ago.

Until yesterday.

So I’ll chalk up his post as an emotional response to what he read in this thread.

Pay attention Lalin.
@stereo5

Thanks. I would have recalled any issues with our transaction and understand how this thread might trigger a visceral response. In fact, some participants become angry as they are in total denial and choose to deflect rather than address the issues at hand.

Be well.
Agreed.

Let’s stop the shameless self promotion and unnecessary shilling at the same time.

To use your words “you know who are”.

The door swings in 2 directions does it not?
Well invictus005, I guess the personal standards alluded to in my last post are just that.

Feeling that emotion and spirit now? :-)
@invictus005

He shouldn’t be banned. Threatening, abusive, or off color language warrant banning or censoring IMO. Little else would violate my personal (not speaking for anybody else) standards. There’s nothing improper about spirited and emotional discussions. They’re good for the soul and respiratory system.

However, I’ve been a proponent here for years about threads used for self promotion under the guise of “providing information”. Read posts from dealer/manufacturers such as Atmasphere, Ramtubes, Audiokinesis (sp) and you’ll find eloquent behavior coupled with outstanding insight sans self promotion.

The advertising section is here for a reason. The irony is the biggest mouths don’t use it. Instead they strut around like roosters pounding their chests.

All of course. IMO.

Sorry it wasn’t me. He was incorrect.
Don’t turn this around.
It’s about you.

All readers should review your various posting history monikers under which you sold and/or recommended products without dealer disclosure.

Looks like I just carved my second Thanksgiving turkey in 48 hours.

Gobble gobble gobble lalin.

>>We know you closed Audiofeil international in 2014 but how come if you google your company nearly nothing comes up?<<

Well duh........that’s not a tough one. Even a dull blade like you could figure it out.

Once again, and I realize you’re not too bright (see above), it’s not about me. It’s about you.

LOL
>>experieces<<

Yes, please share your “experieces” and ignore the self promotion of the shameless shilling dealer.

If that’s possible.
You weren’t being attacked. Some posters simply pointed out your self promoting behavior under the guise of “providing information” and the unethical use of multiple monikers, such as audiooracle (amongst others) to solicit business.

“Defend” all you want.

You caused it.
Deny Deflect Defend

In fact you did not disclose that audiooracle was your business until called out on it. I encourage all readers to review that posting history for verification. The timeline of your posts until caught makes it quite clear.

This is about you Lalin, not me. An attempt to turn it around doesn’t change anything. Keep it up though, it only proves my point(s).

LOL

This is also a thread about honesty and ethical behavior.

Please take some time and review the posting history of audiooracle and his other monikers to decide if what you’ve read previous is really truthful.

For the umpteenth and final time Lalin, and please read this slowly as I know you’re not very bright, I am no longer in business. It ended in 2014 almost 5 years ago. It’s over. Finished. Gone. It doesn’t exist anymore. What happened then is over. Got it?

However, my interest in high end audio which began in 1959, is sustained today. I am a hobbyist. An enthusiast. An audiophile. Get it? I hope so. Again, I’ve read your posting history and it’s clear you’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I am retired spending summers in western New York and winters splitting time between homes in Paradise Valley AZ and Princeville, Kauai. Life is good for me but it must suck being you based on your posting hysteria

Well, this has been fun but I’m headed to the pool for some laps. As is your predisposition, you can have the last word blimpo

For now.......

LOL

Relentlesstroy, interesting. Opens up a world of possibilities. Obnoxioustroy. Shillingtroy. Spartacustroy. Blahblahtroy.

Perhaps lalin could use any of them surreptitiously as he’s done with other monikers such as audiooracle to push his gear without dealer disclosure.

I encourage all readers to review that posting history for a first hand look at unethical business behavior and the person behind it.
“we have went through this all before”

Nice grammar. Let me guess, 8th grade and out?

Still working on that GED?
For the record, you’ve never been “attacked”.

I simply pointed out your various unethical business practices such as using the threads as a sales tool.

Or posting under various monikers to push products without dealer disclosure. The  “Audiooracle” moniker clearly illustrates this.

I believe enlightenment, not attack, is far more appropriate.

For the last time, and I will no longer address it, my business is closed. Thanks for your interest.

I was hesitant to indulge our overweight chest thumping rooster but for the record, here is a partial list of the brands I carried:
Pass Labs, Esoteric, Basis Audio, Transfiguration, Dynaudio, Manley Labs, Dynavector, Lyra, Stealth, Audioquest, Silverline, Atma-Sphere, Triplanar, Zu Audio, Koetsu, ATC, Audio Note, Cartridge Man, Parasound, and on and on.

Was it the finest and most exotic product mix? No, there were many other dealers at the time with a broader and more complete portfolio. However, it served my customer base perfectly and the niche I created. My feedback is testimony to it. Once again, my business has been closed for almost 5 years. I see little sense in lalin’s retrospection.

Go ahead lalin, now demean and/or ridicule any of these manufacturers so you can further alienate the posters and readers who own or have owned these products.
