excellent bass extension, true to the rated( 27hz?), I believe. Solid, deep and not wooly. Very good soundstaging with heigth and width, not as much depth in my set-up. Airy Vifa aluminum domes I beleive the same ones used by Hales and others. I like them better than the Paradigm studio 80's, better bass and top end, a slight advantage to the 80's in midrange detail. Neutral sound, not warm.

Check out Audioholics.com. They have a good review of the Pinnacle speakers. Check out the staff reviews, speaker face off 1. My personal experience is exactly the same as the staff. My brother and I noticed the exact same things the reviewers did and he ended up buying the ref. instead of the towers.
