You are incorrect in your statement that the transducer array that Eric created is a "quasi-line array", it is not. You should call Eric to discuss this matter if you believe it functions in that type of manner. None of the Tekton speakers suffer from image placement/location that does often take place in a planar or line-array design.
Now from one reviewer to another, you heard for a very brief time the DI Monitors at Axpona, and came to some conclusion of what they can do? I reviewed them in my home with many different upstream equipment and found them to be excellent performers. This is no "scree" on my part. However, you of all people should know better to come to any conclusions based on hearing speakers in rotten setup show conditions. By the way, when I heard the DI Monitors that year at Axpona, being driven by Parasound gear to be quite unpleasant based mainly on room placement and the dryness/flatness of the upstream gear. I have in the past made a friendly offer for you to come hear the ULFs and PSs setup the right way to maximize their performance. You are still invited, this time you will have to wear a mask!
