Technics SL1100A Repair/Restoration

Hi I have a Technics SL1100A turntable that I bought new back in the early '70's.  It doesn't hold a steady speed any longer and I would like to have it restored and perhaps modified for improved performance.  I live in Central Illinois and would like to find a place within driving distance (3-4 hours) but I'm willing to ship if necessary to obtain a quality rebuild.  Thanks for any recommendations.

The number one reason for this problem on the SL1100 is dirty speed controls. A shot of Deoxit (from the inside) and working the controls back and forth may be all it needs. Its been many years since I had my SL1100 but it may also have internal coarse speed adjustments as well- they too should be cleaned.
