Conflicting thoughts on cable useage? You don't say.
Ask SR. Go with their input first... but many wires can and do work elsewhere. it can be as simple as a user preff.
My Nirvana SX Ltd. is supposedly a source signal cable. Perhaps so... but it works elsewhere too.
it never hurts to find out for yourself.... that is who really matters.
