I bought a sunfire ultimare receiver back a couple of years ago and couldn't justify spending almost double for essentially the same amplifiers in a different box. What you are getting is a seperate power supply and the ability to buy more interconnects. Unless you want to move up to 400 watts per channel, I don't think it is worth it. You can always use your receiver as a pre-pro down the road if you want to upgrade the amplification.
