Great thread. Many of my faves already mentioned and several that I'm going to seek out. Here are a couple that I love and are a bit obscure if not really rare.
Hall & Oates - War Babies (not like their early stuff or later pop junk, a real masterpiece!)
October Project - Falling Farther In
Graham Parker - Mona Lisa's Sister
Joe Jackson - Beat Crazy
Stabilizers - self titled
Johnny Winter - Johnny Winter And
The Kinks - Village Green Preservation Society (even if you think that you don't like them)

Herbie Hancock - River - The Joni Letters

His reimaginings of Joni Mitchell songs. It's very good and the sound recording is good too.

"Surprised no one (roxy) did not rip into the OP for his typo 'odsure" when it is obscure."

That's because his mistake was minor in comparison to the mess you make out of the English language.

You're right Steve. His last two responses were grammatically correct with no spelling errors. Credit where it's due.😉

That Hot Tuna album (first) is not only great music, but the remastered edition with all of the tape his s removed should really be on everyone's list of demonstration discs. Jack Casady's bass is the best sounding and most realistic bass that I have ever heard on my system. I listen to it frequently.

The Mona Lisa's Sister - Graham Parker

Not exactly obscure, but brilliant and underappreciated I think.
