Subwoofer crossover

Has anybody found a way to have an active digital crossover for a subwoofer with DSP inserted in the digital domain, i.e. between 2 dacs and a server? This would be a good way to combine high efficieny, tube amp driven speaker with a class D subwoofer on minimum latency. Any advice obviously welcome.

I do it in DSP in my server.

..if the server offers that feature...I am not aware of any high end servers (e.g, Aurender, Lumin, Innuos et al) doing it and not interested in PC-or Mac- servers.
DSP will have significantly more audible value than any purported advantage of "high-end servers."

OK.  Go down that rabbit hole but it is mostly obsessional behavior.
