Streaming Itunes to PS3 clarification

From all I can gather off the net Itunes (music ripped in lossless)cannot stream direct to PS3.

My computer is a PC running Vista...I do have Window's Media Player 11 and I have streamed successfully the sample music that came with Vista to the PS3...My hope is to stream all my music (25+ gigs worth) through Itunes...I really do not want to buy another product...would love to use my PS3. Would also like not to recopy all discs to WMP11.

Help...I have read that WMP can read the Itunes music folder, but I haven't been successful at that attempt...perhaps because files are in lossless form?

Any help would be great...an ABC how to process would be much appreciated.
