Most magazines are not Consumer Reports but more like an addition to the manufacturers sales department. J Gorden Holt is dead and with him went the critical review as it did in a lot of enthusiast's magazines.
Stereophile AXPONA 2022 Audio Show Live Report
Just received the Stereophile newsletter regarding AXPONA 2022 Audio Show Live Report and EVERY report on every room gets a rave review. Really? I was there and there were few standout rooms IMO. Just don't understand how a magazine can say ALL positive things and NOTHING negative. There's been a lot of reports in this forum on many rooms with bad sound but Stereophile doesn't hear even one? Doesn't make sense.
