Speakers for Bryston

Suggestions for speakers that mate well with Bryston electronics?

Running Bryston BCD-1 CDP, BDA-1 DAC, BP25 pre, and 4BSST amp.

I tend to listen to jazz, classical, vocal and instrumental music.. and, of course, a smattering of everything else! I don't usually listen at loud volumes.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Steve,
I used to own a pair of Vandersteen 1B's. They were my first decent set of speakers. I loved them when I first bought them, but they did not get much play over the years. Reviewers were not very kind to them, either...

I've been wondering how they would mate with my Bryston gear.
Wrm57,
PCM comes up frequently on the "short list" or recommended speakers for Bryston. Once I find a PCM audio dealer that keeps stock, I look forward to audition.
Agisthos,
You describe Bryston as having a "cold, clinical and grainy" sound. Have you owned Bryston gear in the past? Auditioned it a dealer?
Kbarkamian,
Yes, I'm a big fan of Totem speakers. Great company. I'm particularly fond of the Totem Arro floorstander. I like this speaker even better than some of the more expensive Totem floorstanders. I auditioned a pair of Model 1's monitors several years ago, and still remember their wonderful sound.

I have never heard the Mani 2's, through I have read terrific reviews.

Unfortunately, the Totem dealer in town has since closed shop. I find it very difficult to shop for audio gear when you can't easily audition.. let alone demo at home.
Bob_reynolds,
A very personal choice, indeed. Could you elaborate and explain a bit further what you meant about the 4 ohm load issue? I don't understand.
