Get a pair of Reference 3a Royal Masters. I just bought a pair and they are one of the most incredible speakers I have heard at any price. They are a stand mount speaker and retail for $5000. They are crossoverless and have an 8 mid/bass driver and a tweeter of course. I have had many years of audio experience and owned over $100,000 worth of equipment and these are my favorite peices of equipment I have ever owned.
