I recommend the Meadowlarks myself.

Add Coincident Partial Eclipse as well (Super Eclipse mentioned above might overload that size room with bass if any standing wave issues, however wise room treatment will help). I'm sure all others mentioned are great choices too- hell, I use Totem Mani-2's (known for strong bass) in a room smaller than yours (9'x12'), and with proper acoustic damping its fine. Good luck!

Another chance is to look at the owner's section from the Atma sphere owner club
( ASOG: http://www.condor-connection.org/asog/ ).
These systems work.
I think, a real killer combination is the S-30 linked with Avant-Garde Horns.

All I can say is:
I recommend for long term listening satisfaction, that your speaker should have 8 ohms or more.

Original QUADs (or 63s) - will sound like a perfect set of estat headphones.
