Speaker recommendations 10 to 30k and no beryllium

Looking to upgrade from paradigm sigs8v2. Willing to buy new or used.  My room is 12x16x8 ft. Looking for floor standers. Trying to get away from beryllium in case of kids accidentally damage them.

Thanks.

You can, go to My Kind of Music.  In all honesty it seems like you're more interested in talking and writing about speakers than you are actually buying something.  No audition will ever be ideal nor translate exactly to your listening room.  It is much easier to make a $20K system sound great than it is a $100K one.
Reality is you need to begin isolating variables in order to get anywhere.  The room has a HUGE influence on the end result.  Chances are a less than ideal sounding audition/system can be set up to sound way better in your home.  The reverse is also true, hearing something amazing at a Dealer will very rarely translate to the same experience at home without considerable effort and expense.  Buy something that excites you and begin the journey with that in your home.
Told you the Yamaha NS 5000s are the real deal.At least for anybody who has a musical soul and who has some insight into how acoustic music and voices sound.

I have provided my thoughts about them in the Yamaha NS5000 thread.Wonderful sounding things with the real bonus that they are an easy speaker to drive so that opens up the opportunity to drive them with purist moderately powered tube or class A SS amplifiers.Whereas many of the alternatives llike Focal,Magico,Wilson,B&W etc dip down to between  2-3 ohms so are ridiculously amplifier hostile.
