I've used many interconnects- Cardas Golden Reference, Audience AU-24, Kimbers galore, JPS Superconductor 2, on and on and on....
Of course, synergy is important, but I'd highly recommend you take a look at both the VH Audio Pulsar interconnects or the Grover/Wolff Empress cables. Both of these cables are excellent performers. When you factor in their cost, the value is remarkable.
For speaker cables, Audience AU24 is still the best I've used.
