I noticed your questions. I'm sure no expert on Soundcraftsman but the speakers have a good rep and the baskets and surrounds look identical to University speakers of the 60's. I don't know if University made them for Soundcraftsman but they sure look very close to a pair of University 6201/200 series I own as well as some other University speakers.

I know next to nothing about speakers, but I just picked up ($80) these old Lancers with funky grills and nice cabinets. They look strange and great. They sound good, but I'm wondering whether they could sound even better. I've been able to find very little on the Net about these babies... anyone know anything about em?
Some forum I checked had a recommendation to upgrade/change the drivers? Any other recommendations of this sort?
