Sony PVM 3230 TV- question about RGB inputs

I have Sony PVM 3230 TV (11 yrs old) which has many inputs (analog RGB, digital RGB,S video, etc). Does anyone know if the analog RGB inputs (BNC type connectors) can be used with current component outputs on my new DVD player, if I buy BNC to RCA adaptors?
Unless the Sony has vertical and horizontal sync, you should not have any problems. Also, don't spend too much on the BNC to RCA adaptors.
Good luck
I also forgot to mention that just because the TV offers component inputs doesn't mean it will be able to read a progressive scan rate. IMO, the only reason to bother with component video cables is because the DVD player you use outputs a progressive scan rate.Otherwise, use a good s-video cable or buy a TV that can handle the progressive scan rate.
