A friend owns the Strads so i've heard them many times. I was even going to purchase them from him until his new upgraded speakers in waiting turn out not to be an upgrade at all, I've also heard quite a fewer speakers worth many times the price of the Strads. I won't go off on a rant but I will say the Strads are finest speaker I've experienced bar none.
I can't comment on the Futura's as I've only heard them a few times at are local salon, so a comparison by me would not be of much if any value. I guess if I was to try and form some type of estimate, I would say the Futura was more neutral where the Strads were more musical.
I liked them both, but would do almost anything for a pair of Strads.
