I use to own a Sonic Frontiers SFT1 and it is one of the lowest jitter output transports on the market and the SFT1 is better than the later iris. It even plays CDR's! It will be a definite step up from the Sony.

I have a Sony DVP 7000es player that I use as a transport with my Electrocompaniet ECD 1 dac (great dac, by the way!)
Would there be any advantage to changing to an SF SFT1 dedicated transport? I like the fact that I get DVD play also without so many boxes, but would change if this would be a step up for CD playback.
I use an Illuminati D60 digital cable.
