I emailed tech support at the Parts Connexition who are undeniable the most knowledgeable when it comes to the SF products and asked their opinion on this upgrade. Below is their response:
In our view, the improvement which could be attained with this chip is ONLY possible when you run it at the higher supply voltage (capable in the 2311).....but since the supply voltage is not altered (and I don't think you can raise it in the LINE-3), the spec's should be about the same.....that was our position when we first looked at it 3 years ago.
