Nothing new, this has been happening for years now. Many manufacturers will change the model's name though, to help hide the price increase. Of course the newer model is always better. ;^)
SME announce price increase
I've just read that they are to increase the price of their turntables between 15% - 25% & their tonearms between 23% - 32%.
