small road projector

Are the recent sub $500 projectors that specify 2000 lumens and above and a supposed screen size of 30' to 300' capable of displaying a 100 inch screen that is watchable? If watchable at 100' how may the picture compare to an average big box TV? Just changing the subject for a moment-
my $1400 (sorry; i know you were inquiring sub $500) panasonic pt-ax200u throws a stunning picture @ 2000 lumens onto a 92 inch greywolf screen @ 1080i. there is no comparison to an average big box tv, especially inch for inch, and no reflections. even day time sporting events are very impressive @ 720p.
