Silent Wire Sound Fuse

Does anyone have experience with a product like this, or is aware of a similar product available here in the US?

I was only able to find it on a few german sites, but they do not seem to ship to the US.  I do believe a fuse will work better than a circuit breaker, my understanding from chatting with a user overseas is that they do fit into a generic breaker slot.
