I agree with Rackdoctor. I have one Python Alpha, and recieved
a Diamondback in part trade for a Sidewinder and was just
going to sell it and keep using my fatty stock pc that I
have been running for a long time due to it's beating
a lot of other pc's. But I decided to just throw it in
before I sold it, and it made a huge & instant difference.
So I kept it. It is used on my pre amp. I had one before, but did not remember being that impressed with it,
but I think I used it on my amp!?!?! HMMMM?
Great pc!
I BOUGHT ONE. PUT IT ON MY PREAMP AND NOITICED A BIG DIFFERENCE. EVERYTHING WAS CLEARER AND MORE DYNAMIC.THE HIGHS WERE ALSO A LITTLE MORE EXTENDED. GRANTED YOU MUST HAVE SOME SORT OF POWER CONDTIONING TO REALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CABLE.I AM USING AN EQUITECH SON OF Q JR. IF YOU ARE RUNNING BALANCED POWER YOU WILL GET THE BEST RESULT WITH THE DIAMONDBACK.MAYBE IT'S THE CRYO TREATMENT OR THE DESIGN OF THE CABLE. BUT WITH MY SYSTEM IT SOUNDED BETTER WITH THE SHUNYATA OVER THE STOCK CABLE.
I just received one, but haven't had extensive time with it. Bought it for my active speakers (and need another one first).

Tried it vs. my Python on my Wadia 861 and much preferred the Python.

I listened to it and several others, some far more expensive, over the last month. I didn't take notes auditioning it or others, but just let my soul speak to me. Was it more lifelike? Were the musicians more in the room?

Did not buy any powerchords! Think me crazy, but my stock powerchords sound better, and I love emotion, vocals, texture and piano, and soundstage. And I am a modifier / tweaker!! I have modded much of my audio gear. No, nothing is wrong with my ears.

I do run dedicated lines, and a big difference that makes in my area of the country. I have found much greater improvements in interconnects, and speaker wires, with interconnects making the larger improvement of the two. Just my three cents.

My experiences have taught me that a guy can tweak too much too, and not all tweaks make an equal improvement in all systems. Sometimes they can degrade the sound too.

Good Luck
