To really find out; take say a small speaker or anything with a magnet. Swirl it around about 6in. in front of the tv. If the colors move then the display is susceptable. Turning the tv off and on demagnetizes the display so you won't have done any damage.
SED Display Sensitivity to Loudspeaker Magnets
Will a loudspeaker magnet interfere with the new SED flat panels in the same manner that they distort conventional CRT displays? If so will they be more or less sensitive to loudspeaker placement?
