Second shot suspension Sumiko Blackbird - help

I have a VPI TNT Jr TT with JMW 10 arm and the second Blackbird suspension is shot in 3 months - base drags on record - Tracking force 2.0 gm - checked 20 times - anyone else experienced this? No trauma, handled like a baby? Any thoughts please? (Never happened with Shelters, Denons on other TTs). I dont think I'll get another Blackbird - the angle seems so narrow that even when new the angle must be minute between stylus and bottom of shaft.

Springbok, I'm sorry to hear of this difficulty. You're not by any chance using a liquid stylus cleaner, are you?

Solved - Digital tracking force guage wrong!!!!!! Did it with a $20 Shure balance and problem fixed. What tracking force guage do you use, Rush?
Shure balance gauge - hard to beat for $20.

Congratulations on finding the solution! I know you must be pleased to find the cause.

Dayum, how much error was the digital off by?!
When I bought my used digital Micro Tech from a seller here, the very first thing I did, was confirm its accuracy with a set of lab calibration weights. Virtually all read dead on.

Hopefully no damage has been done. Mark
You must always make sure when using digital gauges that they are not affected by the magnet in the cartridge. Some are.
