Scored 3 isoacoustics isolation feat, now what?

I Scored some cheap snake oil from Mr Haney the other day. Got 3 Orea Bordeaux. First I tried them on my Quick Mill Anita espresso machine with no improvement in texture or taste. So I figured I would try them on one of my HiFi source components. Got them sitting under my tubed pre now and I think there might have been some bloom improvement. I could also try them under my DAC or Power Amp. What component has best potential yield? Mr Haney said he had them under a Pass Labs power amp.

Full disclosure. Would like to say the title misspelling was a humor  attempt but it was a mistake 😑 .  Although, I suppose it could be a feat.

You have the Oreas, you have the pre, DAC, and amp . any reason not to try them under each yourself and see what your ears tell you? No need for someone else's opinion

Observe the weight recommendations on Isoacoustics site.  You can find all the information you need there.

I use the Oreas under my integrated and SACD player and will never take them out. They made a noticeable improvement. And like twoleftears said, heed the recommendations on the weight limits.

To try them out, I ordered one set that just met the upper limits of the weight allowance and the next size up that easily accommodated them. The next size up worked the best, for me. It worked out to something in the 40-70% weight limit that did the trick.

Yeah Looks like these will support the amp with room to spare so I moved them there.  If  I like it proly seek out some of the lighter weight models for pre and dac.

Its funny, GF likes to listen with me and notices when I change something.  After I put the pucks under the pre I could see her giving  the rig the stink eye but she couldn't  figure it out, only that something was different about the pre.

which Integrated and SACD player do you own currently?

Happy Listening!

Right now I have the Technics SU-G700M2 (which I recently acquired) and a Marantz SA-15S2b SACD player. I started out with a Marantz PM-15S2b integrated using the Oreas.

You need more pucks before you hear the full potential.  The absolute best way to use them is as cable lifters. But I'd wait for the new version with WiFi remote leveling. You don't know bloom until you've heard properly raised, vibration-damped, and leveled speaker cables.  Assuming you have a highly resolving system.

Listen to see if the make the sound dead and lifeless. For me I find super dense hardwood thick boards work the best when they are on spikes. I am talking rosewood purple heart. Etc woods that will sink in water not float. Many of the other items tend to deaden the sound. Not much different than a bicycle tire tube party blown up with a board and then a piece of MDF on top. You will have this G's goat on air with bloom but no music left goes totally dead sounding

i put the iso pucks under all my equipment and it sucked the life out of my system so don't over do it.

One more thing about the Oreas: I found the best results to run contrary to what the maker said (as well as MusicDirect). I ended up with them directly under the footers on my gear.

All the advice from both were to experiment placing them directly on the underside (bottom) of the gear. Just moving them a quarter of an inch made a big difference with added this but subtracted that. It was more frustrating under my SACD player than my integrated.

I literally spent hours experimenting and it was always a trade off (with the positives being really nice, sometimes even beguiling, but at too much a detriment to other aspects). So the moral of the story is to try them under the footers.
