Schiit Yggdrasil

I have the Grace Design m920 pre-amp dac but I am considering purchasing the SCHIIT's Yggdrasil multibit dac and use the Grace as a pre-amp.
Can I do this using the balance inputs and outputs on both units?
Schiits said the Grace cannot be connected to the Yggdrasil b/c the Grace has no digital outputs and the Yggdrasil has no analog.

Also, I am streaming TIDAL using the APPLE TV connected to Grace m920...Schiit said this may trigger the lower spec clock b/c it is locked to 48kHz and has re sampling.
If the APPLE TV is connected to the Grace would the above be true and would another streaming device be more appropriate?

thanks,
frank

The first paragraph of your Opening Post makes no sense to me. Can you re-explain what you are trying to do.

For example, of course the Yggy has analog outputs. It is a digital to analog convertor, after all.

The Grace would need to have a standalone / fully separate preamp section to allow for  analog in (and not just post it's DAC) and anlaog out.
Hi OP!

Consider a Wyred4Sound Remedy. It works a real treat with low resolution Internet appliances. However, this improvement varies based on the DAC. My older ARC DAC 8 really liked it. My Mytek Brooklyn did not care.

If you like Schiit, also consider Mytek, which I like a hair better than Schiit, and I really like Schiit. :)
Thanks to all!!
I wanted to connect my Grace m920 to the Yggdrasil and bypass the Graces' internal dac to be able to use the multibit dac of the Yggdrasil.
Schiit's they may know their product made a mistake and contacted me saying I could use the BALANCE INPUTS AND OUTPUTS of both devices.
However I stream a lot of music thru my APPLE TV and SCHIIT's tells me that the APPLE TV or the APPLE AIRPORT EXPRESS will trigger the "lower spec clock b/c it is locked to 48kHz and has resampling.
They have no suggestions on a streaming product that would not cause this to happen.
Any suggestions?
Just how important is this clock to make a NOTICEABLE difference?

Thanks and I hope I explained my position better.

As long as you have a transport for the music, and can plug it into the Yggdrasil and then plug the Yggdrasil's RCA outputs into your Grace preamplifier's CD or Auxiliary input OR the balanced Yggdrasil outputs into your Grace balanced inputs, there should be no issue that I'm aware of.
If Schitt is saying the Apple device will trigger the "lower spec," then it  can be assumed you will hear the music under less than optimal conditions.
This topic is not relevant to analog section of the forum, it must be placed in the digital section of the forum. DACs, Apple TV, CDs, streaming music etc... this is what are you gonna talk about in analog corner? People are strange
