SACD availability?

Does anyone know of any retail chains that stock and sell a decent variety of SACDs (i.e. Sam Goody, FYE, B&N, Borders, etc)? I can find hundreds on-line but I'd rather go to the retail store and buy them. It's fun to browse. Any stores out there you know of? I'm in NJ.
1st place to check is This is a montly club membership for CDs and SACDs at 6.99 ea. including shipping. You can join and quit at any time. One CD minimum per month. They have a minimalist collection of SACDs, but at the price, it is a good source depending on the type of music you like.

Anoher great source is where you can find both current and out of print SACDs, both new and used. Many of the used ones are in excellent condition. Prices can be pretty good, but the hard to get stuff is still expensive. Go to Amazon and just do a music search "SACD".

Amazon provides user reviews of the recording and performance. allows you to generally listen to portions of the songs.
I've never seen a really good selection at any B&M shop. J&R Classical in NYC isn't bad but not great. Last time I was there, their selection was smaller than what I have at home!

well SACD is slowly going away but occasionally best buys have a next gen audio selection with a mix of DVD-A and SACD, virgin megastores ussually have more obscure stuff.

That's what I thought. Too bad. Do you play SACDs and how many do you have? Where do you buy them? I found great collections at, amazon, b&n, etc.
Frys in Las Vegas has a decent selection of SACD and DVD-A titles. Me? I'm waiting for Dolby True-HD on Blu-Ray.
Kojima I think the exact opposite is happening. I think more and more are being released now than in the past several years. One look through the new Music Direct catalog I got in the mail this past week can verify that.
I've been buying JVC 24bit X2 CDs, one or two SACD, and a few XRCD. I agree these JVC CDs sound exceptional.

Between sellers of used CDs and Google, I'm able to find an incredible number of titles to purchase.

I don't know of any B&M store that offers a selection even close. Perhaps Amoeba Records on Sunset Blvd. in LA.
Check out Audiogon's SACD section.

Well, not a great source for SACDs, but still a great site for CDs/DVDs and occasionally deals on SACDs is I have picked up alot of terrific bargains and it remains the first place I look when shopping for some new sounds.
Since no one has mentioned it yet, the best reference for SACDs is

check out CD Universe online.
I second Kal's recommendation. I find this SACD site this best why to find and buy new SACD's.

Thanks everyone. I'll check out these sites as well as the one here on Gon. Yes Kojima, it seems the selection of both HDCD's and SACD's are increasing both on-line and at retail centers. At Barnes and Noble fore example, I have found quite a few HDCD's and have purchased some.
