Ripping w/dbpoweramp or JRiver

Planning to download dbpoweramp and use it to rip my cd library and download JRiver to play the files; but according to the JRiver website, I can use it to rip. Is dbpoweramp the better ripper and JRiver the better player? Of course, I'm trying to maximize the SQ of my music files (which I intend to save as AIFF).

I'd be surprised if there is any difference in the sound quality of files ripped with one versus the other, but there are differences in functional capabilities between the two. For example, dBpoweramp can rip to multiple file formats (for example, wav and aiff) and/or multiple locations (for example, to an internal harddrive and to an external harddrive) in one pass. JRiver can't do that. JRiver and dBpoweramp both offer fully functional free trials.
