He lived a long productive life. A true musician's musician. Listening to "Out In The Country" as I write this.

I am glad I got to see him play with Tony Trischka in a neat old theatre in Philly last year. Saw him many times at Merlefest. Highlights were seeing him play free at the July 4 Firefly Festival in Foscoe NC in the mid 90s and at the Love Auditorium at Davidson College in the 80s. He was a kind gentle biblical soul who graced us all with his mellifluous voice and scintillating flat picking. God bless, Doc.
