Review: McIntosh MA-6500 Amplifier

I've had this amp for a little over a year and am very happy with it. The MA6500 replaced seperate Adcom components. The Mac was an obvious upgrade in sound right out of the box. I was after a warmer sound with adequate power for any potential load and this amp really delivers. I listen to smooth jazz, classic rock and bluegrass. There are many fine seperate components on the market, including some from McIntosh. But after doing some carefull comparison shopping, chose the MA6500 because of it's overall performance, bang for the buck, and classic McIntosh look and quality. If cost was no object, I'd probably move toward the fine selection of Mac seperates.
