First heard the Lowther Hegmans(fires straight up 6" driver. Aside from ESLs they are the best speaker I have ever heard. Friend name Hessness(HMPilot) introduced me to them back in 62 in Okinawa.

In all of audio, here is a very unique full range, single driver, horn loaded speaker. It's dynamic beyond anything you've ever heard, including electrostatics. The combination of a SET amp/paper cone/alnico magnet and horn is amazing. Forget imaging/soundstaging and the like - just sit back and enjoy these extremely musical speakers. They make you want to dance - isn't that what it's about?! Bottom line is that if you want to feel the emotional impact of music, and want it to be extremely involving, you need look no further than Lowther speakers with a good SET amp.
