Review: EdenSound Bearpaws Senior Tweak

Category: Accessories

My music tastes are Jazz and Jazz only..Mostly Male and Female Jazz singers and Piano Jazz combos etc...I tend to like my system sounding slightly Sweet ( not sterile or overly warm ) and most importantly if the mid range is right everything else will work for me.....
I had no Idea I was going to buy the Bearpaws..I just noticed them on Audiogon and liked what I saw..I had no problem with my system and was very happy before hand.........Once I decided to try the Bearpaws I contacted Dan ( owner ) and asked the usual info and liked what he said so I order 3 ( Threaded version )which would come with the same threads as my stock 1" spikes ( Stock spikes now are BDR cones ) ..When I recieved them I could not believe how massive they were and my first fear was, they would sound "Dull". Installing was simple..Out with the old and in with the new..By the way the look Awesome! ...Once installed and I fired up my system ,the first thing I noticed was how dark the background was..Quite as a tomb.....I played a few jazz tunes..Patricia Barber "Companion",Tierney Sutton "Something Cool"...,and many others......Everythng I played sounded exceptional.....Music took on a more quiet, sweet, and more full bodied sound that I had not had beforehand....The bass impact is exceptional..I can't say theres is anything I don't like about the Bearpaws..So they are staying in and now thinking about getting more Bearpaws for other equipment...I realize that tweeks are tough to recommend and many of us hear things differently, but I am one very happy guy I bought them......

Forgot to mention ,,the Bearpaw Senior Brass Cones are installed on my Thor Audio T1000 mk2 Linestage ..........Sorry for missing that.....
Edensound allows you to try products that you would not normally buy-due to their high cost. It's a good way to try out brass footers. Dan is very easy to talk to. They also had some equipment stands that were very enticing(price-wise).
