restoring music library from mac "Time Machine"

If my music is backed up by "Time Machine" and is then restored will there be some loss of sonic quality? Thanks -Howard

almarg Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 9,670 posts 01-13-2013 at 09:14pm Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete I'm not specifically familiar with Time Machine, but while drive imaging and backup programs often use compression algorithms, as far as I am aware they are invariably lossless, and provide bit-perfect restorations. Otherwise restored data files, program files, and operating system files wouldn't function. So I wouldn't worry about it. Regards, -- Al
