Rega P3 Not Level

Happy New Year Everybody. I have a P3 TT. I leveled the shelf it fits on perfectly. I then placed the TT on the self only to find that it was the TT itself was not level. Is this a normal accurance with Rega? By the way, its not the platters fault either, but rather the TT itself when sitting on a leveled shelf is not level.

I know I can just compansate by adjusting the shelf futher, but just curious if Rega is not to concerned with levelness.

Agent, you can't adjust the feet but you can rotate them. I rotate mine counterclockwise because the rear carries the most weight and the left front carries the least. You should level the shelf with the turntable on it with a bubble level on the platter. It must be dead level.
I had a P-3 a long time ago and mine simply turned to adjust. I took them off and added tall Tiptoes to raise the plinth high enough for the tonearm I was using. It stuck through a long way and would hit the stand underneath.
Rwwear, you can adjust the feet? I did not know this, how do you adjust them?

If your Rega is more than a few years old, you'll notice that the feet will have compressed over time.Just rotate them about once a year, with the most heavily compressed being placed at the left front and the least compressed placed at the rear.Make sure that the screws retaining the feet do not tightly secure them to the plinth- they are only intended to locate the feet's position under the plinth and keep to them from falling off.Overtightening will defeat their designed-in 3-stepped function.
You'll still need to fine tune your turntable by levelling the shelf.

Best,
Ken
Assuming the feet are flush to the table, I am not surprised. Even more expensive TTs need some adjustment when they are placed on level shelves. Happy New Year, Agent Double-O 193.
