REGA EAR HEADPHONE AMP

I am in the market for a headphone amp. Wondering if someone can answer a few questions I have. I am looking at the rega ear headphone amp to use with my SHURE E4C's.
Is this an adequate pairing? Any other headphone amp's in the $300 price range that might better suit these headphones?

Just start a thread and you will get lots of help. Also check out the for sale forum on head-fi. I have owned the rega and there are many DIY amps that can be had that outperform it.

I use the rega with Senheiser 600s, great sound with quite a bit of gain.
