Recs for MUSIC only discs for my 5.1 surround sys

Did you think to search the music archive??? or google Best 5.1 Music DTS or SACD? Plenty of info available.

Jethro Tull - Aqualung (expensive, yes, but wow!!! This is a completely new album to me.)

- Pink Floyd - DSOTM, Wish You Were Here (ditto, though the makeover is less extreme)

Keb' Mo' -SACD- "Just Like You"

Earth Wind and Fire Alive in ’75 is a live, surround sound recording mixed especially for SACD. It is not a hybrid disc, so it will only play on dedicated SACD players and uses Sony’s excellent DSD audio system for mastering.

- Genesis catalog is wonderful, too. The stereo mixes get railed on (for good reason), but the 5.1 are wonderful. Plus lots of great interviews and extras.

- Magenta - Seven

- Rush - Moving Pictures. I don't have the Sectors sets, but Moving Pictures is wonderful.

- Anything engineered by Steven Wilson. He is the gold standard for sound.

- Opeth - Heritage.

For classical music, try arkivmusik.com. They have over 2000 SACDs listed, and many blu rays. I would suggest claudio Abaddo blu rays of Gustav Mahler, but it depends on your tastes as well.

Grateful Dead - American Beauty & Working man's Dead are great sounding mixes

Frank Zappa - Halloween & Zappaphiliac are awesum in 5.1

Neil Young - Harvest is nice as well
