Recommendations for speaker stand filler

I'm looking for a recommendation for speaker stand filler. I lost the web page which I had marked that had some nice filler. I don't want to use sand due to the moisture absorption and lead shot is impossible for me to find where I live (most of its stainless steel now anyway due to environmental concerns). Any thoughts of suggstions on speaker stand filler and where to find it?

Thanks

If you use pure quartz mason sand, open the bag and dry it for a few days in a warm/hot dry environment you should not have any moisture problems. I don't and my sand filled speaker stands have been in use for 10 years!
I second Timo!
Quartz sand does the job perfectly in my Revel GEMS' stands.
Good luck!
I use 20 pounds of steel shot in each of my Lovan Imperial 2900 stands. You might also consider the Micro-Bearing Conductive Steel Fill Material available from Star Sound Technologies.
I use the Micro-Bearing Conductive Steel Fill Material available from Star Sound Technologies. I think it's a very good product but on the pricey side. If money is not a problem, go for it!
Hi Scotty,
In the past I've used sterilized sand which I purchased at
Home Depot.

Also, I just put together a pair of stands for my mom and
I used pure crushed marble. Simular consistency to sand,
but granular like salt, but the grains are larger than salt, tho still very small.

It was very dry, no moisture like you may get with sand,
and very dense and heavy. I preferred it over the sand.
Also a Home Depot item

2 pages of nickel plated lead, steel and bismuth shot. MMMMmmmmm, bismuth shot.
Regular, unscented kitty litter (do not use the type that clumps when it gets wet) has about the same weight as sand but is less likely to leak since it's a coarser material.
