Interesting post...I ran across one for sale near me and was researching the same over the weekend. The only name I could come up with was, Willy Hermann. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks for all of your candid comments and recommendations. I agree that the system is basically "eye candy" and may not produce the absolute best quality sound as far as CD playback is concerned. However, as long time collector of classic audio, I would like for it to be playable and in working condition. I thought Willie Herman worked on Nak Cassette decks and not CD players! It may be somewhat costly to ship back and forth from New York to California (Willie Herman). Additionally, I have heard from others that his services are rather expensive.
