RECOMMENDATION FOR NAKAMICHI DRAGON CD REPAIR

Can anyone provide me with a few service repair recommendations for a Nakamichi Dragon CD player? I would guess that there are many technicians who can do the repair but I am concerned about their level of expertise and attention to detail. Please share. Thanks

look back into these forums' archives. Not too long ago, there were several operations that offered repair and mods for the mighty Dragon.

Best you 'give it up'. even it you can find a great tech and the parts are available. Technology has moved on, oppo is king, treat the Dragon as a piece of 'eye candy', and enjoy the new, better sound.
Willy Hermann has gone through three of my Naks and they all work perfectly now. Prices are fair, work is excellent. He is also easy to work with, and won't keep you waiting forever.
That's right, Oppo is king and guaranteed to produce perfect sound forever! LOL
Thanks for all of your candid comments and recommendations. I agree that the system is basically "eye candy" and may not produce the absolute best quality sound as far as CD playback is concerned. However, as long time collector of classic audio, I would like for it to be playable and in working condition. I thought Willie Herman worked on Nak Cassette decks and not CD players! It may be somewhat costly to ship back and forth from New York to California (Willie Herman). Additionally, I have heard from others that his services are rather expensive.
