R.I.P. Brent Rainwater a.k.a.

I am saddened to announce that long time Audiogon member Brent Rainwater passed away last Saturday...He was 55 years old.

I am still stunned at the loss of a treasured friend and a consummate audiophile. Audiophiles as well as high-end manufacturers benefited greatly from his superb set of ears, his 110% commitment, and his infectious enthusiasm for perfecting musical reproduction....both before and after he became an audio dealer (rainwateraudio.com). I valued his integrity and selfless help....I learned a lot from him.

Most of all, I appreciated Brent's friendship. Whether on the phone or in person, there was never a dull moment. He had a vivid imagination, quick wit and a colorful sense of humor. He was a multi-dimensional man: music lover, movie buff, chef, art collector, business man, and all around great guy. I will miss him.

My deepest condolences to his wife Anne and family!

May he rest in peace,
John

Brent is a tragic loss felt by many members of the Audiogon community. There was a post a few days ago breaking the horrible news here.
I didn't realize that he was so young though. Once again, my condolences to his family.
What extremely sad news! I enjoyed Brainwater's posts over the years. This community will miss him and my heart goes out to his family.
So sorry to hear of Brent's passing. My deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends.

I met him several times at RMAF. What a great guy! He will be both remembered and missed.
Great guy, too young, my heartfelt condolences to Brent's family and friends.
I didn't know him but it saddens me some to hear of one our own passing away. Our community is only as engaging, fun and strong as the members who participate in this hobby.
My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

All the best,
Nonoise
