Question about speaker configuration with current preamp/amp

I have ASCENDO System E speakers which have a selection switch at the back depending on which amp is being used.
This is what is stated in the speaker manual: "Switch in position VD-N • This is recommended for fast transistor power amps. Switch in position VD-H (Standard) • Recommended for transistor amps with strongly load- dependent output-power."
I am running the speakers with a VAC Standard Preamplifier (limited edition) connected to a Mark Levinson 23.5 amp.
Which position should I have selected on my Ascendo speakers?

Any input would be appreciated.

I find it hard to believe the Mark Levinson would need the standard setting since that monster should have oodles of available current.  My suggestion is to experiment with both and see which setting you prefer.   Remember, once the math is done, you have to listen to it.  So, what you prefer is far more important than what the manual states.

Plan B is to call the manufacturer and ask them as well as get more information on the switch settings.   If you do this, post here what they say.
Switch in position VD-H (Standard) • Recommended for transistor amps with strongly load- dependent output-power.

This is for tube amps.

It sounds like they have an impedance correcting circuit. Nice.
