QStab NSE CD Stabilizer/ Highly Recommended for Jay's/Avatar CD Transport!

Guys,

If you own a Jay’s or Avatar CD Transport, this new QStab NSE Stabilizer should be a required component! Adding a QStab NSE will lift an unwanted (damping) weight from your music, highlighting a realm of undiscovered information to include a natural/rich tonality, low level detail, deeper/wider sound stage, better layering, tighter image focus, disappearing of your Loudspeakers and off the chart musicality...

I listen to a lot of string instruments and Mike’s QStab has unleashed the beauty of their resonant and the emotional essence of these amazing instruments. There is no way I’m going back to the stock stabilizer and recommend highly that you get a QStab NSE for your Jay’s or Avatar as soon as possible!

Mike’s QStab NSE is designed and manufactured in Germany and the quality is superb.

You can through the Headquarter link above and just send an e-mail to Mike and he'll respond or through Jay's Audio.

Mike also makes column support replacements for the Jay's CDT metal ones made of the same material and incorporates springs in them where they mount to the CD mechanism. He's quite the innovator.

All the best,

I just ordered the upgrade to MK3. While I’m doing that I have a couple of questions.
1). Has anybody attached EMF shielding on the back of the display panel? This is a common tweek many people do to their PS Audio Directstream DACs.
2). Has anybody installed the upgraded transport suspension system (Qsus) for their Jays CDT2 MK2/3 the is built by HEADQUATERS Audio? (The same guy who makes the Qstab). If so, how difficult is it to install?

I'm confused as to how the Q Stab can yield richer tonality AND more low level detail. In my experience, tweaks usually shift a system toward more richness or more clarity-- not both, simultaneously.

After hearing the QStab and stock platter side by side, there’s no going back and you hear more of everything that is more realistic sounding🎵🎶. Maybe it's the bone like material used that sounds natural...

So I tried using the contact form on the webpage for this stabilizer but had some trouble, so I emailed directly. I did not get a response over three weeks. I’m on an iPad & Safari and have a few sticking point issues with the website, so there may be something there I can not get to to see.

I was trying to get info —and hopefully purchase— one of these for the Pro-Ject RS2T… Does anyone know if these things are still available from this guy or not? I heard from someone that these may no longer be available.

Anyone have any insight on the status or availability, as well as if there is someone to answer questions or anything from the site?

Try reaching out to Todd at Tek Audio in Texas.  He is the US distributor for Jays Audio and where my QStab shipped from for my CDT3.

Even so if Todd has contact with them either directly or through Jay's/Beatechnik he may have another contact method.

Hey guys,

QStab doesn't fit the Pro-Ject RS2T. One of our customers tried it but unfortunately, the Pro-Ject CDT cover will not be able to close fully due the the height of the QStab.

Hope this helps!

Re using the Qstab with the Project RS2 CD Box, to make mine fit, I sanded down the knob on the top, and then removed material from the bottom.  It now fits.  However, the magnet on the Qstab is so strong that when I remove it, I have to press down the CD to keep the CD mechanism from moving within the box.  The pull is so strong that I don’t use it.  But others here report they have been able to make it work for them with good effect.  Also, the maker (forget his name right now) reports he has developed a custom version for the Project (sadly, he didn’t offer to replace mine).

Any luck in getting a response from Mike/Headquarter audio regarding the Qstab for the Rs2? Have been trying to get in touch with him but have not being able to get a response through YT and have not been able to find an email address… anyone can provide it??? …

I wasn’t getting responses back over email either but he did respond to my YT comment about these and said he would have some in like 14 days. Maybe he got tired of emailing people back to say he didn’t have any. This was a week ago or so. But I do not know if he was referring to the original one for the Jay’s or if he was also talking about one altered to fit the RS2T or not.

Was able to get in touch with Mike through email … just got a new batch of Qstab for the RS2…

Got mine a few days back… Am very happy with it …

Would describe the effect as increased clarity and weight in every aspect of the presentation…. The nature of the sound is the same but every aspect is enhanced… the textures are more fleshed out, percussive sounds are more vivid, weightier and dynamic, like colors are more vivid, more obtuse…

like it very much… highly recommended…
