Just my opinion - I would forget a dedicated transport and rip your discs then playback using your 105 as a streamer, add in a digital reclocker, and your DAC. From my experience, this would have the least jitter phase noise.
PS Audio PWT vs Esoteric X01, 03, 05 players as a transport
I just bought an Aesthetix Pandora Signature DAC which I will have in about 2 weeks. I will use my Oppo 105 as a transport until I find a suitable replacement. Has anyone tried the Esoteric X Series players as a transport vs the PS PWT? I can't find anything and won't have the ability to try them sided by side.
