PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC vs. ARC DAC7 ??

Has anybody compared these 2 DACs ?? I am looking to purchase a separate DAC (I already have an Arcam CD23 CDP). The 2 DACs mentioned are available used for approximately the same price. I want to enter the world of computerized music. The rest of my system is ARC SP3c preamp and ARC VT100MkII power and AZ Adagio speakers. Thanks for the recommendations.

well the PS Audio has the bridge card option ($795.00) to run the dac as a server. Might be a good route to go. I haven't heard the other DAC. I do own the Perfect Wav Dac and Transport and it's a great sounding unit.
I compared the Perfect Wave to an ARC DAC 8 , the DAC8 was in another league all together , I bought it . The DAC7 's USB input is not fully isochonous and may not be the best choice for your situation ( computerized music ) .

That is interesting...what do you find the PW lacking ? It made AS Product of the year. To my ear, for digital you are spliting hairs and can spend alot more than $6k and it's arguable if there is a significant improvemnt. It's a matter of taste at the level.

PS I like your Revel's...looks like you could use some room treatments...ie: Bass traps and reflection free zones. It would be the best money you could ever spend on your stereo..your not getting the most out of it with an untreated room. Cheers !
